Discover more about my vision

  • Whole-Person Wellness: I understand that education is not just about academics; it's about the whole person. That's why I'm committed to building a comprehensive mental health infrastructure within our schools. This includes increasing access to counselors, providing mental health education, and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Support for Students and Educators: We must prioritize the mental well-being of both students and educators. I will advocate for policies that provide the support and resources necessary to help them navigate the challenges they face, ensuring a positive and healthy learning environment.

Early Intervention and Prevention: By investing in early intervention and prevention programs, we can identify and address mental health issues before they escalate. This proactive approach will benefit not only individual students but also the entire school community.

  • Access for All: I believe that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves equal access to a quality education. My commitment to equity and justice means advocating for policies that remove barriers to access, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.

Agency and Dignity: Every student should have the agency to shape their educational journey and the dignity to be treated with respect and fairness. I will work tirelessly to empower students to be active participants in their learning, giving them a voice in decisions that affect their education.

Equity and Justice: Education should be the great equalizer in our society. I am dedicated to dismantling systemic inequalities and working towards a more just and equitable education system. This means addressing disparities in resources, funding, and opportunities to ensure that every student has an equal chance to thrive.

  • Preparing for the Future: Our world is evolving rapidly, and our education system must keep pace. I am committed to fostering educational innovation that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and attributes needed to thrive in a modern world. This means embracing new teaching methods, technology, and interdisciplinary approaches.

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: At its core, education should nurture stable, responsible, and thoughtful individuals. I believe in cultivating critical thinking and problem-solving skills in our students. These skills empower them to navigate an ever-changing world with confidence and adaptability.

Engaging Curricula: Our students deserve engaging and relevant curricula that prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. I will work to support curricula that inspire a love of learning, encourage creativity, and foster a deep understanding of the world.
